We are proud to announce our new Research and Development facility located in Penryn. This cutting-edge centre is equipped with the latest technology, which includes the following key items funded through the support of the Critical Minerals Equipment Hub.
Our facility includes:
- High Pressure Reaction Vessel: A 100ml Standard Hastelloy B2 Vessel designed for high-performance reactions.
- Electrowinning Pilot Plant: Featuring a 50 ampere rectifier and 4 peristaltic metering pumps, perfect for small-scale electrochemical processes.
- Bottle Roll Unit: Ideal for testing and refining our recovery processes.

Meet Our Head Chemist: Molly Partridge
Molly Partridge, our esteemed Head Chemist, brings a wealth of expertise in hydrometallurgical methods, leveraging fundamental chemistry principles to innovate in natural product chemistry with a biopharmaceutical focus. Molly’s extensive experience includes utilising chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques for analysis. Alongside her technical skills, she plays a crucial role in planning research projects, analysing and interpreting findings, and generating original ideas based on the outcomes. Her contributions are instrumental in driving our research and development efforts forward.
Meet Our Mineral Processing Engineer: Patrick Hegarty
Patrick Hegarty, our hands-on Metallurgist and Mineral Processing Engineer, has 20 years of international experience spanning operations, consultancy, and research. His expertise covers a diverse portfolio of minerals, ore deposits, and processing technologies. Patrick has designed and managed metallurgical test programs and developed processing flowsheets. He has installed and operated laboratory, pilot plant, and process equipment, conducted studies in process improvement, and trained and managed operators and technicians. Additionally, Patrick has written commercial technical reports for mining industry clients and co-authored and contributed to research publications in mineral processing, process mineralogy, and materials science. His extensive background and dedication are invaluable to our mission of advancing sustainable mining solutions.
